In shopping for traditional clothes for Maggie I chose this outfit, not knowing that this is a traditional "Princess" dress. But O so appropriate. Maggie is tiny and really nothing fits though. She did love her squeaky shoes!
Our family
All the girls adopted in our group.
Big Sister and Little Sister, my two pearls.
All 4 families in our group. We of course on the left and Chris and Tracy from Austin, TX then Chris and Jennifer from Dallas TX and Steve and Corrine from MN
After the photos we went to the American Consulate to apply for our kid's visa to enter the United States and to take an oath as a group that we've been truthful in all the information we'd supplied. (Many families adopting through different agencies were there too.) A couple days earlier we had a form filling out session with our guide. We filled out all the forms necessary to apply on behalf of our kids. It was extensive and I so appreciate all the expertise and help given by Helen our guide. She also ran these forms up to the consulate and then later picked up the visa so we didn't have to go again. Everywhere we go we go as a group, and our brave White Swan bus driver takes us out into the Guangzhou traffic to accomplish our tasks be it sight seeing or adoption "business"
We had dinner as a group at this Thai restaurant. When we arrived they were burning an offering to ask for good fortune in tonights business. Helen, our guide, accompanied us and helped us order. But their menu is extensive and like most of the restaurants we've been to it features pictures of every single dish. So you know what you're getting.
Today was the last day of official business we had. Tomorrow is a free day then we travel to Hong Kong to come home!
